Tubular heater elements and flat Firebar elements are designed primarily for direct immersion in liquids such as water, oils, solvents and process solutions, molten materials as well as air and gases. By generating all the heat within the liquid or process, these heaters are virtually 100 percent energy efficient. These versatile heaters can also be formed and shaped into various geometries for radiant heating and contact surface heating applications.

Mica and Porcilain strip heaters or Flat heaters are the versatile solution for a number of applications. They can be bolted or clamped to a solid surface for freeze and moisture protection, food warming and other applications. The Porcilain finned strip heaters are commonly used for air heating, drying ovens and space heaters.

The Tubular Heater has built-in resistance to shock, vibration, corrosion and temperature extremes. The heater is swaged, reducing the diameter of the metal sheath and compacting the insulation. Mica heaters are efficient and economical solutions to the heating requirements of many applications. Mica heaters can attain a maximum sheath temperature of 250°c, but with different electrical termination styles, clamping mechanisms, and ability to accommodate holes and cutouts, mica band heaters are successfully used in many applications, but are mostly sought for in the plastics industry.Details : Mica heaters made by utilize different types of top grade mica. The thickness of each mica layer is carefully selected in order to balance between the insulating characteristics of mica and the ease of heat transfer from the heating core to the machine barrel. The resistance wire ribbon used in a mica heater is not restricted to the capabilities of Nichrome wire. Different alloys are considered for different applications. The internal winding is carefully designed to ensure uniform heat distribution throughout the band heater. To maximize the surface-to-surface contact, our mica heaters are carefully rounded and formed to optimize the grip on a machine barrel. The external metallic protective sheath of band heaters is made of a special alloy, which expands less than the barrel when heated. This difference in thermal expansion makes the heater grip the barrel firmly once it is energized. This improves heat transfer which extends the life of the mica band heater.

Liquid flow through heaters are designed primarily for providing heat that regulates liquid temperature from 32 to 88oC (90 to 190oF). The heaters have a titanium element that resists corrosion. The flow through tube is 381 mm (15") long and has 1 NPT female pipe connections and is available in 304 SS. The safety high limit trip point for the heater is 99oC (210oF). The 201 x 145 x 89 mm (7.9 x 5.7 x 3.5") enclosure is made of Stainless steel 316 and is water resistant.

Flanged Immersion Heaters are designed for use in tanks and pressurized vessels to heat both liquids and gases. They mate to a companion flange that is either welded to a tank wall or, for circulating type heaters, to a pipe.

Ceramic heaters are medium-to-high temperature heaters that can deliver up to 400oC. The nickel-chrome heating elements of these durable heaters are placed inside interlocking ceramic channels that are assembled like a brick wall. A ceramic fiber insulating mat and a stainless steel jacket cover this assembly. This construction makes ceramic heaters flexible and highly energy efficient. An energized ceramic heater that operates at 400oC internally will have around 100oC on its outside shell. Ceramic heaters consume 30 % less energy than band heaters that are not insulated.

Cartridge heaters can be considered "component heaters" that are used to generate heat in many different applications. These process heaters are primarily used in mold and fit snug inside a cavity and helps heat solids by reaching high temperatures. In order to facilitate installation and heat transmission, cartridge heaters are made 1/4 inches less than the nominal size of the receptacle hole, with a tolerance of +/- 0.002 in. Standard cartridge heaters are supplied with electrical leads that are connected internally within a 3/8 inch cold section. In excessively hot applications, the length of this cold section could be increased.
