GROUP BUSINESS PROFILE THE FOUNDER The founder, a well known Freedom Fighter Mr.Prahaladraiji Agrawal earned his name and goodwill prior to 1940 when the family’s firm M/s.Harlal Badriprasad used to finance the Imperial Bank, now known as the State Bank of India, in case of its urgent cash liquidity requirement from time to time. The firm was in the business of trading of crude Lac. There has been no looking back since then. THE GROUP P.A Group of Industries belongs to one of the most reputed business family of Gondia located in Central India. The group is well known for its progressive & innovative work culture and is basically engaged in the line of processing & manufacturing of Rice, since 1959. The founder’s two sons Mr.Pramod and Mr.Ashok Agrawal are jointly responsible for the operations of the P.A Group. Total Group Networth – Rs.800 Million Total Group Turnover – Rs.250 Million (upto the year 2007 after that year due to government ban on export of non-basmati rice it has fallen. Now as the exports have opened up, we expect the turnover to cross Rs.400 Million. THE KEY PERSONS Mr.Ashok Agrawal (Presently – President of Rice Millers Association, Gondia; Executive Member of Vidarbha Industries Association, Nagpur) is the key person in the group having gained wide experience in the trade since 1985 when he started his business career. Mr.Pramod Agrawal looks after the administrative part of the Group. They are assisted by- - Mr.Jitesh Pramod Agrawal (B.E. Prod.) (Secretary, Gaurang Bahu-Uddeshya Shikshan Sanstha registered at Gondia; State Level Badminton Player; Ex-Secretary of Rotary Club of Gondia) - Mr.Vishal Pramod Agrawal (B.Com, DBM) (Ex-President, JCI Gondia) - Mr.Gaurav Ashok Agrawal (B.Com, CA) THE BUSINESS Presently the group runs three Rice Mills, a Parboiling unit, a Steam Rice Unit and an Imported Rice Sorting Unit for manufacturing of Fine Sorted Silky Rice. The Group is also engaged in manufacturing of fresh Chakki Atta for retail & bulk sale. Further, various trading activities in food grains and other allied products are also under taken by Group concerns. Group business excelled since 1985 and has made its presence felt in the domestic as well as the international market through brand building exercise and timely delivery of quality products. The government of India had first opened up the export of non-basmati rice in the year 1997, since then the group has actively engaged in the supply of White & Parboiled rice to exporters in bulk quantity.
