The function of the wiper ring is to prevent ingress of dust, dirt and foreign material into the system. While designing or developing the Wiper Seal for a particular hydraulic cylinder, FASS always ensure complete study of Fluid, Surrounding conditions and possible contamination due to other factors. The rod seal is the most critical seal on any type of fluid power equipment preventing leakage of fluid from within the cylinder to the outside. Excessive leakage through the rod seal can reduce equipment performance and also in extreme cases can cause environmental issues. They are available as single-acting and double-acting seals, but are ideally used as single-acting seals. A wide range of compound and profile configurations is available to meet the user´s specific application profile. They typically interact with wiper elements in the cylinder head sealing system. FASS offers a wide range of hydraulic rod seals for both single-acting and double-acting systems. Some of them include a unique profiled NBR energised polyurethane seals, Specifically designed three element seal for the heavy duty application comprising of an O-ring energiser, Polyurethane shell and a polyacetal anti-extrusion ring, Composite Step Seals and widely used multi-lip seals. Piston seals for fluid power cylinders and actuators separate the applied pressures between the piston and rod side during the stroke movement and during the interim and final position. They are available as single-acting, double-acting. A wide range of compound and profile configurations are available to meet the user´s specific application profile. The best sealing capacity of a double-acting cylinder, capable of sealing dynamic pressure from both sides, is achieved by choosing a double-acting seal. The function of the guide ring is to guide the piston head and piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder. At the same time, it prevents any metal-to-metal contact, which will damage and score the surfaces and eventually cause seal damage, leakage and component damage, where forces act perpendicular to the direction of movement. Guide Rings with rigidity withstand arising side loads, there by prevent further damage. FASS offer guide rings in two core materials i.e. PTFE Composite and woven fabric reinforced polyester resin material. These Guide Ring offers high wear-resistance, excellent low vibration & friction properties and more importantly good mechanical stability at high temperature.
