When tank is filled up to a particular weight, weight indicator shall send signal to close filling valve & open the discharge valve. The approach rails are rigidly connected with weigh-rails through standard fish plates and both the rail tops are maintained at the same level. A concrete slab of length 15 meter is provided below the weigh-rails to avoid any unwanted soil settlement. The sleepers supporting the weigh-rails are embedded in to this concrete and grouted. This avoids up/down movement of the rail sensors when the wagons roll over and ensures smooth load transfer to the rail sensors. Foundationless Weigh Bridges

Conventional weighbridges have heavy rigid platforms and require costly & time-consuming civil foundation. This makes shifting of the weighbridge very expensive as trailers / open truck is required to transport it and again civil foundation has to be built at the new site.
