The basic principle of connecting rod assembly is the same for all engines except for the fact that in two-wheelers, at one end, crank pin is used which is connected to the crank-shaft. The connecting rod is attached to the crank-shaft by crank pin and the other end of the connecting rod is connected to the piston with the piston pin. The connecting rod takes the power thrust from the reciprocating piston and carries it to the crank pin which in turn transmits the power / motion to the crank-shaft in the form of rotary motion which makes the vehicle move. It is utmost important that the connecting rod should be of correct weight and size so that there is no vibration in the connecting rod while transmission of power. Also the dimensional parameters and the heat treatment parameters should be strictly maintained to ensure trouble free running of the engine.

Established in 1956, MACO PRIVATE LIMITED, has been developing and manufacturing Piston Pins, Crank Pins and other Pin type items since over three decades. Our company has enjoyed a great deal of growth-and this we owe to the confidence our customers have bestowed upon us over the years.
MACO PRIVATE LIMITED was incorporated in 1956 with its Regd. office at Delhi and factory at about 50 Km. North of Delhi at Sonepat in the Haryana state. The initial plant was imported from U.K mostly and manufacturing project started in the year 1959.
In 1973 MACO was registered with government of India (DGTD) as a medium scale unit and launched the expansion project to achieve the capacity to manufacture 12 lac (1.2 million ) pins per annum.
In 1976 modernisation of plant and machinery was undertaken, alongwith enhancement of installed capacity to 15 lac (1.5 million ) pins per annum. Further with the installation of sophisticated automatic machines the capacity of 24 lac (2.4 million) pins per annum was soon achieved. Now MACO is mass producing these components over 36 lacs (3.6 million ) pins per annum.
MACO also produces high quality connecting rods for bi-wheeler applications, being manufactured with the latest technology and equipments.
MACO has also established itself as a reliable supplier with numerous O.E manufacturers of Pistons, Two-wheelers, Compressors, Engines etc.
MACO is also receiving appreciation in export markets in neighbouring countries, South East Asian Countries, UK, Italy etc.
