Rotary Airlock Valve (RAV) is the equipment which is fitted below the Bag Filter, Cyclone, Multicyclone etc. The main function of the RAV is to lock the air and discharge the dust powder. In the Bag Filter system there is negative pressure in the Bag Filter. So at the powder discharge point if there is any air leakage the powder will not fall down. So to restrict the leakage we provide the Rotary Airlock Valve. RAV consists of a stator & rotor. The radial & axial clearance is between 0.1 to 0.3 mm. The rotor has vanes (6 or 8) welded on the shaft. The rotor is mounted on the bearings at both the ends of the stator. A Geared Motor is provided to rotate the rotor. Since the clearance between rotor & stator is so low. Because of this air leak is very minimum and it delivers only powder.

It is better than gravity operated double flap valve as it gives continuous discharge and has a better air tightness. While discharging dust, the valve prevents gas leakage through the inlet opening. This valve consists of a cast or fabricated housing that is provided with a rotor and a shaft. The fins of the rotor are welded to the shaft. The volume of rotor is determined by the empty space between the two fins. On each rotation, dust that is held in the pocket is discharged. And depending on the applications, material of constructions are decided whether cast iron mild steel fabrication should be used or stainless steel.

It is simplex form of Vane Feeder consists of Airlock Valve Housing, Rotor, Geared Motor, Chain, Sprocket, Chain Guard & Mounting Frame complete. The quantity / flow of material could be adjusted by changing the speed of ROTOR / SPROCKETS. The Rotor blades in pocketed shapes are so perfectly designed that, it handles fine pelverise material, the Rotor is not jammed and also the material is not clogged between the fine gap of the impeller body. The material enters the valve housing from the top & as the Rotor Rotates, each pocket discharges when it reaches the bottom opening of the body.   The clearance between the Rotor blades & Valve Housing is precisely maintained to prevent to prevent the free passage of air between inlet & outlet size of the valve.
