ICD Durgapur is EDI enabled and the port has been awarded an AEO status (Authorised Economic Operator) by Indian Customs. The port operates round the clock and has dedicated customs team for EXIM cargo appraisement. Several major shipping lines and Main Line Operators have direct import service and BL point up to ICD Durgapur. Containers are transferred from gateway port to ICD under through BL (Liner Haulage) with place of final delivery mentioned as ‘ICD Durgapur’ in the Bill of Lading. State of the art infrastructure and cutting edge technology is used for port operations such as loading and unloading of containers or cargos, stuffing and de-stuffing of containers, storage of bonded and non-bonded cargo, etc.
