The tunnel washer machine is most ideal for round bottles and finds wide application in liquor, mineral water, pharmaceuticals, juice, food industries. The automatic loading arrangement facilities loading of bottles on to ss wire mesh conveyor or bottles are pushed manually from feed table. This saves manpower as bottles are fed up into pockets automatically. The automatic unloading mechanism consists of unloading bottle on to a wire mesh conveyor which continues on to turn table. The quality of rinsing is ensured through 3 sets of inner and 3 sets of outer nozzles accurately placed to direct the jet at center of the bottle and the bottle comes out with water totally drained with minimum droplets of water which can also be removed by providing final rinse by compressed air or hot air blowing (optional). It is a sparkler type and consist of S.S. Shell & Top cover using bolts to give pressure tight enclosure. The filter cartridge assembly inside the shell consists of several vertically arranged disc type filter plates with perforated supporting screens, filter media & interlocking cups. The entire assembly complete with pump & piping connection is mounted on a suitable S.S. Trolley. The impure liquid to be filtered is fed to the filter shell by pump. It arrives on top of each plate through opening on the sides of plates. As liquid pressure increases, the filter media (Paperfabric) holds back the impurities & allows the crystal clear filtrate to pass through the central channel (formed by interlocking cups) which takes the filtrate to the outlet of filter. This filter most commonly used to obtain clear liquid. However if required, the cake formed between the plates can be obtained. Filtration is continued until its rate becomes very slow due to increased cake resistance.

As the wash boils, vapors pass up the neck of the still and then pass through a water-cooled condenser or a worm, a coiled copper pipe of decreasing diameter enclosed in a water jacket through which cold water circulates. This condenses the vapors and the resulting distillate, known as low wines, is collected for re- distilling. The liquor remaining in the wash still is known as pot ale or burnt ale and is usually treated and converted into distillers soluble for animal feed.
