Naxos-Diskus incorporated in 1871 formerly known as Naxos-Union, is part of the DVS group specializing in Turning (Drehen), Gear Hobbing (Verzahnen) and Grinding (Schleifen). Naxos-Diskus is a leading manufacturer in Europe since more than 130 years of Boned Abrasives up to 1625 mm (64") in Diameter in Ceramic / Vitrified and Resin Bonding for all applications with Corundum, Silicon Carbide, CBN and diamond grains. In 2009, Naxos-Diskus has taken over Carbo group GmbH Dusseldorf, with the brands Carborundum and Dilumit. Wheels are manufactured to suit customer specifications for surface finish and accuracy for applications like Cylindrical Grinding, Centreless Grinding, Double Disk Grinding, Crankshaft Grinding, Gear / Profile Grinding, Grinding Segments, Cut off wheels and pencils, loose Abrasive Grains and Surface Grinding Wheels. The product range includes resinoid-bonded wheels for the steel industry, snagging wheels for the foundries. All these abrasive products mentioned above, however, represent only a small selection of our total production range.
