MANUFACTURING PROCESS : Total Quality Management (TQM) is the key to HMTL phenomenal success. All round bars heat are fully killed before continuous casting into billets. The round steel bars are first heated to 1,150º to 1,250º C in a rotary hearth furnace. After heating, these billets pass through a cross-roll piercing mill where a carefully positioned piercing point drives a hole through the solid bars to produce elongated rough hollow blooms. These hollow blooms are then passed thru Accu Roll Mill to achieve required dimension. Then the pipes is passed through Reheating furnace at 900º C to 950º C and later to get the desired dimensions of pipe are passed by 24 frames Stretch Reducing mill. After this process pipes undergo Finishing process followed by on line NDT Testing, Varnishing and Marking as per the requirement of customer. It’s a Fully automated online plant from bar loading to packing and dispatch of finish tubes. There is no human contact with materials at any stage of process.
