Solar street lights are raised light sources which are powered by photovoltaic panels generally mounted on the lighting structure. The photovoltaic panels charge a rechargeable battery, which powers a fluorescent or LED lamp during the night. Most solar panels turn on and turn off automatically by sensing outdoor light using a light source. Solar streetlights are designed to work throughout the night. Many can stay lit for more than one night if the sun is not available for a couple of days. Solar street lights consist of 4 main parts: SOLAR PANEL:  Solar panel is one of the most important parts of solar street lights, as solar panel will convert solar energy into electricity. There are 2 types of solar panel: mono-crystalline and poly-crystalline. Conversion rate of mono-crystalline solar panel is much higher than poly-crystalline. LIGHTING FIXTURE:  LED is usually used as lighting source of modern solar street light, as the LED will provide much higher Lumens with lower energy consumption. The energy consumption of LED fixture is at least 50% lower than HPS fixture which is widely used as lighting source in Traditional street lights. LEDs lack of warm up time also allows for use of motion detectors for additional efficiency gains.     RECHARGEABLE BATTERY:  Battery will store the electricity from solar panel during the day and provide energy to the fixture during night. The life cycle of the battery is very important to the lifetime of the light and the capacity of the battery will affect the backup days of the lights. There are usually 2 types of batteries: Gel Cell Deep Cycle Battery and Lead Acid Battery. CONTROLLER:  Controller is also very important for solar street light. A controller will usually decide to switch on /off charging and lighting. Some modern controllers are programmable so that user can decide the appropriate chance of charging, lighting and dimming.

Octagonal poles are fashioned poles which are now replacing the swaged tubular poles due to its high strength and less weight, octagonal poles has a uniform thickness of 3mm from the bottom to top. The size of the pole is standard unlike the swaged tubular poles, we offer octagonal pole with the length of 6 m and below. The octagonal pole is single welded longitudinally, however it comes along with the base plate and bed bolts , The octagonal poles are available with hot dipped GI coated or with high quality MRF paint as per the customer needs. The raw material used is the MS sheet with a thickness of 3mm or less as per the requirement and its cut in a tapered way to give a uniform reduction in the size from bottom to top and its pressed to octagonal shape with the press break machine and its welded longitudinally and its either painted or GI coated before delivery.

High mast poles are used at the junction between main roads to hold light with higher wattage to give maximum light coverage. The high mast poles consist of a working space on the top of the pole and also have a ladder like structure for service purpose. However it is possible to motorize the pole so as the service at the bottom of the pole also . We offer high mast poles which are of swaged type up to the height of 16 m only. The high mast pole finishing will be either MRF painting or hot dipper galvanized as per the client’s demand The raw materials used here is MS tubular pipes which are procured from the market and tested for the quality after which its cut to the finite length and is taken to the swage section where its swaged using the hydraulic swaging machine to such a size that it fits to the other section of another pipe to form a three stepped high mast pole. Then it’s been welded and painted GI coated and kept ready to delivery
