Our portable key way milling machines are extremely handy & useful for making key ways on large shafts of mills, rolls, cranes, process plants etc. The machines can cut key ways fast and accurate. Running on single phase stepless variable speed of 350 to 750 RPM, the machine can cut key ways in one setting up to 36Wide X150Long with model TPKN16250 & 80 wide x 200 long with model 75SS on shafts diameter 38-250 & 200-600 respectively. Any damaged or new Key-ways or Key-slots can be cut INSITU on any shafts. Key-ways upto 2000mm length can be cut. Internal key slots can also be machined, if required.

The Internal Type Keyway Milling machine is for machining keyways inside Bores. The machine is mounted on an internal expansion chuck assembly which can be adjusted as per the inner diameter of the bore. Reference can be taken from the same bore or any external reference too.   It can be used to create a flat surface, slots, pockets and keyways. The machine is equipped with a small dia end mill, which is generally electrically driven, but pneumatic and hydraulic drive options can also be made available. The linear travel can be manual or auto, as desired. The machines are compact and can be mounted on any part along the axis of the shaft as desired. It can also be mounted at an angle to mill multiple keyways, maintaining the certain angle with respect to each other. The machine can be mounted taking reference form the existing machined surface or even independent of it, as required.

Needs only 38mm space on the end of shaft to cut new keyway, without dismantling the shaft from assembly. Cutting time for 25 mm wide, 12.5 mm deep & 150 mm long keyway is less than 15 Minutes. M/c makes a Keyway on a Ball Mill Shaft, while the shaft is in assembly. Sealed lubrication permits operation at any position of the machine.With the "V" type-mounting base, the Keyway Cutter will self-center onto an existing shaft, once the milling machine tool is clamped in place. The Keyway Cutter is capable of cutting keyways.
