Description of SANGHI-ORG Oxygen Plant The free atmospheric air is sucked in by a multi-stage air compressor through a filter and compressed to the working pressure. After each stage, intermediate coolers and water separators are provided. The compressed air then passes through the (evaporation) pre-cooler and then to the molecular sieve battery where the moisture and carbon dioxide are removed from the process air. It then passes through the exchanger No. 1 where it is cooled by the out-going waste nitrogen and product oxygen. A part of this cold air then flows through an expansion machine and the balance through the 2nd heat exchanger. The ratio of the two air streams is controlled by an expansion valve, RI. Both these streams of air then unite in the lower pressure column where it partially liquefies. The liquid air (rich air) then passes through the expansion valve R2 to the upper column which is at a lower pressure than the lower column. Similarly the liquid nitrogen (poor liquid) travels from the lower column to the upper column through an expansion valve R3 where the separation of oxygen and nitrogen occurs. Nitrogen being more volatile passes out as a gas from the top of the column and this waste nitrogen flows through both the heat exchangers cooling the in-coming air. Similarly product oxygen is also passed through the two heat exchangers to cool the in-coming air and then to the filling manifold via a liquid pump. If a small amount of air is vented out from the upper column, higher purity nitrogen can also be obtained from this plant. R4 Valve is provided in order to fasten cooling during start-up.

We have the capability to design and develop nitrogen generators as per the requirements of our customers.How it works?The nitrogen generator produces nitrogen gas from atmospheric air using molecular sieves separation technique. It uses a carbon molecular sieve which has ability to preferentially remove oxygen from air. Our proprietary technique gets higher efficiency of gas separation.Nitrogen generator consists of two beds filled with carbon molecular sieves. When compressed air is passed, Nitrogen comes out as product gas from one bed while other bed is simultaneously regenerated by depressurization to atmospheric pressure. This process of gas separation is called "Pressure Swing Adsorption" (PSA).Nitrogen PurityFrom nitrogen generator gas of purities from 99% to 99.9999% can be produced. simple psa unit produces raw nitrogen of 99% purity. By adding purification unit to PSA unit, high purity nitrogen can be produced.Advantages : Automatic Start-up time is only 5-Minutes. Nitrogen gas supply always under your control. However, standard units are available in the capacity of 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 300 NM3/hr. The Gas Generators can be manufactured in any desired capacity.Nitrogen PressureStandard Nitrogen Generator produces nitrogen at 5.5 kg/cm2g pressure. This pressure comes automatically as feed air pressure to the PSA unit is around 7 kg/cm2g. However, by increasing feed air pressure to 10kg/cm2g, Nitrogen can be produced even at 8.5 kg/cm2g. But, at high pressure operation, depressurisation losses during regeneration are high, which results in high operation cost.It is most economical to run nitrogen generators at 7 kg/cm2g pressure and produce nitrogen at 5.5 kg/cm2g pressure. If nitrogen is needed at higher pressure, we can provide a nitrogen booster compressor after the gas generator. By this addition, it is possible to compress nitrogen gas to any high pressure.

    Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is a technology used to separate some gas species from a mixture of gases under pressure according to the species' molecular characteristics and affinity for an adsorbent material. It operates at near-ambient temperatures and so differs from cryogenic distillation techniques of gas separation. Special adsorptive materials (e.g., zeolites) are used as a molecular sieve, preferentially adsorbing the target gas species at high pressure. The process then swings to low pressure to desorb the adsorbent material. In Oxygen Gas Generators, We use Zeolite Molecular Sieves (ZMS) as an adsorbent.
