Performance of Interior Emulsion critically depends on surface preparation and application as outlined below : Old surfaces : Before applying to old surfaces, ensure the substrate is firm. First wash down the surface with a sugar soap solution, rinse and allow to dry before repairing n applying the primer. A One Paints New surfaces : Ensure that all dust, dirt and foreign matter are scraped and brushed away. Also ensure the surfaces are free from salts, oil, grease and ridges. For better result apply two coats of A One Wall Putty followed by A One Water Primer (Primx) then A One Distemper.

For previously painted surfaces, remove all loose and flaking particles, and rub with sand paper. Ensure that the surface is clean and dry. First apply one coat of Indotouch Cement Primer. After filling up dents with a layer of Indotouch Polymer Putty, apply another coat of Cement primer. Add water slowly to distemper paste, mixing the contents thoroughly. Normally, 500-600 ml water is required for 1 kg of distemper. Apply 2-3 coats by brush, keeping 4-6 hours intervals between coats.
