Introduction
the history of this manufacturing unit dates back to 1970’s when this was one of the first units to start production of pvc/pu leather cloth in northern india by the name of ‘leatherite’. The company was taken over in 1987 by ‘kumar ashis projects limited’ and re-christened ‘manish vinyls’.
Many additions and updation were made in the machinery to bring the plant to the current standards. The company then started making pvc/pu leather cloth under the brand name ‘khaitan’. This brand name is now established in the market. The company is making leather cloth in a wide variety and for different uses like upholstery (automotive and furniture), footwear (shoes, sandals, and linings etc.) belts, luggage, novelty and promotional items.
Capacity
we had two release paper casting lines and one post finishing line with an annual production capacity of over 5 million meters. We have now commenced two new italian plant (complete with italian mixing room, embossing, and printing) and our new production capacity has gone up to 12 million meters per month.
market base
our major market share is exports accounting for 60% of our production. Balance is sold through a dealership network expanding throughout india. We are the largest exporter of pvc/pu leather from india for last 10 years & are a government recognized export house.
We have entered in a big way in the footwear & oem market in the recent times with commendable success. Our qualities have been approved by the footwear and design development institute, a pioneer in this line setup by the government of india for this purpose. We are oe suppliers to bata india limited, relaxo footwears limited, liberty, action group of industries, seitz technology limited autoform, sansperilles greenlands and various other shoe manufacturers in delhi, agra and kanpur.
We are exporting our products to u.s.a., u.k, europe, middle east, african subcontinent & russia. Our product has been well established in these markets. The company is investing heavily towards enhancement of export by participating in overseas and domestic trade fairs, organizing buyer meets and e-marketing.
