Master Weavers is a unique socially conscious enterprise in the world of handlooms.
Contained by no boundaries, our fabrics are comfortable, traditional yet contemporary – adding beauty and elegance to your wardrobe. It has been our endeavour to promote the handloom process while delivering good quality garments that are value for money.
Started in 1987, Master Weaver is a socially conscious professional organisation to support and promote hand-made fabrics. Our strength lies in the value addition we do by designing handlooms with the art forms like block and pen kalamkari.
Bring handcrafted handloom clothing to the forefront; Support weavers and craftsmen to improve their financial standing; Educate buyers about the utility and beauty of Indian handloom fabrics; Use and encourage customers to use eco-friendly fabrics.
Our young, passionate, and creative team helps us make our dream of reviving and promoting traditional handloom in contemporary styles come true. We are always focused on providing the best value to our customers.
Kalamkari – Our Focus
Master Weaver contributes significantly to popularizing, promoting and making Kalamkari fashionable, accessible, and wearable every day. Recognizing Kalamkari as a dying art, Master Weaver invested time and effort in learning these art forms from master craftsmen in Kalahasti and Machalipatnam. Over the years, we have improved production processes and trained more people on Kalamkari.
All our Kalmakari fabrics use natural dyes; we also ensure our suppliers and partners to do the same. They represent our philosophy of using sustainable materials that bring harmony as well. Not only vegetables dyes have been used for centuries in most cultures, they also do not contain chemicals that are harmful to people or the environment. We have found that vegetables dyes offer an extraordinary diversity of rich and complex colours, making them exciting to use.
