The Three Roller Grinding Mill is used for applications like grinding, separating and conveying. Shri Krishna Roller Mill with integral separator provide an automatic dust free complete system for medium to fine grinding and classification of wide variety of mineral and chemicals as well as simultaneously removing surface moisture from many products while they are being ground. Principals of Operation : The grinding operation in “Shri Krishna” Roller Mill is performed on the principal of attrition and Compression, which results due to the centrifugal force generated from the suspended rollers inside a stationary bull ring. The Material to be pulverized enters the grinding chamber through an automatic feeder and falls over the mill floor. There it is scooped up by steel ploughs in to the nip space between the rollers and bull ring where grinding takes place. A constant quantity of air is circulated through the mill and system. The air from blower enters the mill through a series of tangential ports round the bases of grinding chamber and sweeps the fine and medium fine materials to the classifier above the grinding chamber leaving no ground material in the chamber and allowing the rollers to work efficiently crushing coarse material. The classifier separates pulverized material and coarser particles return to grinding chamber for further size reduction. Fine material is carried by air to the cyclone air separator where air and ground material are separated and collected. The clean air is returned to the blower for close circuit operation. Dustless Operation : For providing dustless operation, the mill is operated under negative pressure and is equipped with a Dust Collector system where any surplus air in the circuit is vented and fine dust is collected in dust collector bags. Salient Features : Grinding Chamber : Fitted with a main vertical shaft carrying a cast steel spider from which roller assembly are suspended. These alloy steel rollers run on their own antifriction bearing while travelling around the rind. Steel ploughs are firmly attached near the bottom end of this shaft. The base of roller ills is of heavy duty cast iron and provided with tangential ports through which are enters the mill. A replicable bull ring of alloy steel is fitted in this base against which rollers revolve. The main shaft is driven by an internal bevel gear box having horizontal drive shaft fitted with a pinion. The automatic feeder is also driven by the same driven shaft through a chain sprocket or a belt pulley arrangement. Blower : - Suitably designed M. S. Fabricated type or C. I. Casted having independent drive. Classifier : - Shri Krishna Rollers Mills are equipped with Double Drive cone or Whizzer type classifier depending on the type of material to be pulverized. The fineness of ground powder can be controlled in both types. Arrangement is built in to return oversize material for re-grinding. The selection of type of classifier is governed by the duty they have to perform viz. desired fineness and the type of material. Cyclone Air Separator : Cyclone air separator is made of mild steel sheet with supporting structure and flanges. Automatic Feeder : Rotary type of cast iron body. It is designed to take care of quantity and size of feed material and provided with pawl and ratchet mechanism.
