The second coat is applied after 2-4 hrs. till  the total thickness of putty on the wall is about 1½ mm. Ater recoating let the surface to dry completely. If any marks are visible, then it is needed to remove them with putty blade. For application of paint, the surface should be gently rubbed with very fine emery paper before painting.
