  Principle of Operation   Here in this case this indicator is used as a direct local level indicator mounted on the top of the vessel or RCC tank. It is commonly used for visual level indication of liquids, which attack glass or are hazardous, flammable, toxic, aggressive, agitated, contaminated and under high temperature & Pressure i.e. for services where glass gauges are unsafe. Suitable for glass attacking liquid, where conventional gauge glass can not be used Construction & Operation :It consists of a chamber and an internal float in non-magnetic material compatible with the liquid. The float containing a magnetic system rides on liquid level and is coupled to an external visual indicator, which comes in two options. The simnpler & economical design consists of a RED magnetic follower Capsule, that moves within a glass tube Filled with water (to reduce friction) and can be read against a scale. The Other system is expensive and consists of a series of Bi-colour flappers. White on front side and contrasting RED on the reverse. These flappers rotate corresponding to float movement, thus changing their colour from white to red as the float rises and vice-versa when the float falls. As such the liquid represented by an external RED coloumn. Operating Principle :These models consist of Bi-coloured magnetic rollers equipped with small rod magnets which are rotated one after another at an angle of 180o by the directed field of the Permanent magnet inside the float.In addition, Level sensing elements can be fixed directly to the float cage, so that simultaneously liquid level is electrically measured through smart transmitter with output of 4-20mA. It is possible to connect Level indicating Meters and Set Point Relays at any distance for control and display purpose. The Magnetic Level transmitters can also be supplied with HART PROTOCOL.Moreover it is possible to attach bistable Magnetic Switches to the Magnetic Level indicator in order to get switching at any desired liquid level.

These are also known as liquid level indicators and are designed for offering high clarity indication of liquid levels. This range comprises a magnet in the float wherein the indicator rises or falls with the liquid. The float transfers this information to the indication rail that is mounted on the outside of the tube. Our range also comprises white and red indication flaps that represent air and liquid levels respectively. These are ideal to be mounted in various orientations such as the side, top or bottom of the vessel. Mahalaxmi make magnetic level gauge consists of a float chamber, a float and an external indicator assembly. The float chamber is basically a column of 2" or 2.1/2" NB pipe with process connection to suit that of storage ta nk. The float moves up and down inside the float chamber as per the liquid level. Contained inside the float is a very strong and powerful ring magnet. Follower Type: A borosilicate indicator glass tube and scale assembly is attached to the outside of the float chamber. Inside the glass tube is a red coloured indicator containing a magnet. When the float moves up or down, due to magnetic coupling the red colour indicator also moves along with that indicating the liquid level. The Roller Type: Indicator consists of a series of magnets which are coloured red on one side and white on the other side. As the magnetic float passes the magnets rotate through 180 degrees to show the other colour-red indicating liquid space and white vapour. Non-Invasive Switches: In this case the electric contacts are actuated by the magnetic float when it moves as per liquid level. These switches provide a low cost, reliable alarm and control action without making additional cut-outs in the vessel. The externally adjustable mounting arrangement make it easy to adjust the set point or service the switch anytime without interrupting the process. Salient Features : No Power Consumption . Will not be affected by power failure. A level transmitter or magnetic switch can be installed and adjusted without disturbing the process. 360 degree magnetic-flux field provides constant interaction with roller assembly in turbulent liquids. Roller channel and outer housing is of black powder coated aluminium. Outer housing in stainless steel as optional. Rollers are of glass filled Nylon / ABS plastic. Rollers move on Delrin bush bearings. Delrin is a self lubricating type material and hence movement will be frictionless, thus ensuring long life. Front window is of crystal clear acrylic. Acrylic windows has a U-gasket i.e. double gasket-gasket on top & bottom side ensuring perfect sealing on both side. Compact, rugged and field proven.
