Double Skin Modular Air Handling Unit
The Double Skin Modular Air Handling Unit is designed based on modular paneling concept to fulfill the indoor air quality requirement. The air flow of DM AHU is within range of 330 to 20,000 lps (700 to 42379CFM) and up to a total static pressure of 1991 pa (8” W.G). For special design, the air flow can be reached25,000 lps (52974 CFM).The AHU is constructed of high strength extruded Aluminium to form rigid frame. Besides, it is with thermal barrier feature which using three leg-fiber plastic corner pieces, 25 or 50 mm Polyurethane (PU)insulation panel and all frames are insulated with 3.0 mm PE foam to minimize energy heat loss and prevent condensation occurring. The external clip method to hold the double skin PU insulation panel is easily accessible for maintenance while being air tight. The new thermal- break profile can perform better than the original profile in terms of providing better insulation and energy saving.There is selection software programme available: DM AHU, to optimize the best arrangement and performance for either chilled water system or DX system. Standard components can be selected and be placed according to customer requirement. Once the unit is defined, optional item and accessories are identified. The programme gives immediate feedback if there is no suitable choice for the units. The programme provides us with fan curves data, coil performance data, dimension, and shipment weight. COOLING & HEATING COILS
Can be either Chilled water / Hot water / brine / direct expansion type. Galvanized sheet steel end plates shall hold the copper tube pack. The coil tubes are plain copper having 12.7 mm OD. The coil tube arrangement is multi circuited with choice of 2/4/6/8 row deep in the direction of air flow. Tubes are mechanically expanded for better bonding with aluminium fins for efficient heat transfer. ree flow aluminium fin configuration provide better heat transfer and less air pressure drop. Depending on application, one can choose from 8/10/12 FPI fins spacing. Water / brine coils are self drainage and vented type. Coil header shall be of copper/ MS as per customer requirement Hydrophilic coated aluminium fins can be provided on request. All coils are leak tested at 21 kg/cm² pneumatic under water. Distribution nozzle is provided with DX coil. DX coil can be either face split or row split.

CASING : (DOUBLE / SINGLE SKIN) Rigid corrosion resistant extruded aluminium hollow framework held together with fiber glass corner joints. Double skin sand-witched panels with inner skin of 24 G (0.6 mm) plain galvanized steel sheets & outer skin of 24 G (0.6 mm) pre-coated galvanized steel sheet. Casing Panels are injected with high pressure PUF insulation having density of 38±2 kg/m³. Standard AHU models have 25 mm thick panel. Die cast aluminium hinges and nylon handle on each access door. Assembly is done using self drilling and self tapping galvanized sheet metal screws. Floor mounted Units are skid mounted. The base frame is rugged in construction made from galvanized steel sheet. Ceiling suspended fan section are also available. Double skin casing is standard. SINGLE SKIN casing in 18 / 16 gauge pre-coated GI sheet is also available as an option.
