Solar water heater with overhead stand means cold water tank bottom level should be at height of 6 feet from the place of installation of solar water heater so that when we use hot water in bathroom, cold water automatically enters in solar tank from overhead tank. In this type of installation electric back-up with thermostat of 2 to 3 KW can be installed in solar tank for cloudy weather. Although, during rainy season ETC solar gives hot water even if there is partial sun light during day time. We can directly use this temperature hot water for bathing which is between 30 deg to 50 deg. If its continuously raining during whole day and weather is cold, during such days we will not get hot water next day.

Parabolic (Dish) shaped solar cooker cooks food within 15 to 60 minutes. Food is cooked in Pressure Cooker, Metal Bowl or in any cooking vessel. We can boil, roast, bake, fry and dry any food. Dish Cooker prepares Lunch and Dinner for 5 to 15 persons. Daily regular usage saves 8 to 10 LPG cylinders per year.

Suppose user of on grid (without battery) solar power plant has a demand load of 2 KW mentioned on his Electricity Bill. Then as per prescibed norms, he can install upto maximum 50% capacity of on grid solar power plant. That means user can install 1 KW of solar power plant. Solar generation achieved on clear sunny day will be approx. 4 KWh (units) per day. Now if user operated fans, light, Television, refridgerator or other electrical electronics gadgets during day time, then solar power will be used on priority basis, if there is any deficit of power, then Grid (power from PGVCL) power will be automatically used parallel with solar power.

Residential buildings which have shower panels installed in bathrooms have a pressure pump installed on terrace in order to boost forced flow of hot and cold water in bathrooms.These type of buildings require pressurized solar water heating systems with Flat Plate Copper Collectors ranging from capacity of 300 Litres Per Day to more providing hot water with forced flow in bathrooms.
