Supplied with integral Strainer and these traps can be used on tracing applications; however, thermostatic traps are normally recommended for this service. Ideal for outdoor application that Are subject to freezing and for superheated steam conditions   HOW IT WORKS The thermodynamic trap has cyclic on-off operation with a disc that is pushed open by incoming condensate and closes lightly when steam tries to escape.   FEATURE   Integral strainer protect trap from contamination   Hi pressure applications up to 600 PSIG   Hardened stainless steel seat and disc for extended service life even at high pressure   Singltrap will operate over the entire pressure range of 3.5-600 PSIG [Not recommended for use below 10 PSI]   Suitable for superheated steam   Freeze proof when trap is piped in a vertical orientation for complete drainage of condensate   Tree-hole balanced discharge extends life of the seat area   Trap will function in any orientation (horizontal preferred)   SAMPLE SPECIFICATION The steam trap shall be all stainless steel thermodynamic type with hardened integral seat and disc with integral strainer.   INSTALLATION Trap can be installed in any position; however horizontal is preferred. Installation should include isolation valves. Do not weld or damage can occur to the seat area.   MAINTENANCE If trap fails, close isolation valves and remove cap. clean disc and seating surfaces and replace cap and disc with grove side toward seat.

The MASCOT DeFlo SCV eliminates all common issues faced by combined type steam conditioning valves. The SCV is the most efficient way of steam conditioning where the water is injected in a highly turbulent area to ensure most efficient water to steam mixing. The DeFlo SCV are available in Standard, Angle and Expanded outlet configuration. No special expertize is required to operate or maintain the MASCOT DeFlo SCV as it utilizes most spares of a Standard GFlo Globe Control valve with an addition of a Thermal Desuperheating Sleeve at its outlet. This spray method protects the valve belly from pitting and thermal shocks/stresses unlike most competitive designs. This also reduces the SCV maintenance costs as the Valve and Trim life is greatly enhanced.
