Water-cooled capacitors are used in MV / medium frequency induction furnace. We have been supplying these capacitors for almost all type of furnaces used in India.

Electrical equipments are continuously subjected to abnormal voltage due to internal and external reasons. These may occur on account of lightening, switching operations, system faults and other abnormal conditions. Surge capacitors are capable of bringing down the steepness of over voltage transients that may appear across the transformers, motors and other AC line connected equipments. Unless the transients are swamped effectively, they may cause catastrophic failure of these devices. By reducing the slope of incoming surge, conventional arresters fitted in conjunction with surge capacitors, the level get truncated before operating across the insulation of a device. Surge capacitors are designed to withstand and absorb damped or oscillatory line disturbances without affecting the main frequency performance at the point of common coupling. Surge Capacitors are manufactured as per relevant IEC specifications / IS-11548/1986

High voltage shunt capacitor banks (3.3Kv to 132KV 220KV) are manufactured by capacitor unit’s size range of 50KVAr to 1000KVAr & voltage range of 1 KV to 22KV. Capacitor units are connected in various formations of star double star and delta, depending upon customer’s requirement applications and applicable protection schemes. Capacitor banks are available in all the ratings to suit the customers system requirement. Applications: HV Capacitors are in service for various applications (like Steels Cements Chemicals-Fertilizers Paper Railways Defense Electricity boards Utility company’s) for more than four decades in India and in other countries like Indonesia , Georgia, Bangladesh, Iraq,Nepal,Bhutan.

Both utilities and domestic users find them suitable for power distribution, control system, utility network, railway signaling installations, switching stations, textile mills, chemical plants, and machine shops etc. Normal PVC insulated cables are suitable for an operating conductor of 700C and HR PVC insulated cables are suitable for an operating conductor temperature of 850C.

LT Bank in cubicle with switchgears: Typical arrangement for LT banks supplied to BEST Bombay. These are small LT Capacitor panel shaped arrangement are fitted with switching device along with LT capacitors. There is provision for current monitoring by ampere meter provided on the panel. Back-up protection can be provided by external HRC fuses A/W switch unit.

LT –All-PP Capacitor unit: Capacitor units are manufactured in the range of 5KVAr to 200KVAr in the voltage range of 110 V to 1000Volts. Capacitor banks (220 Volts to 440V / 1000V) are formed by series parallel combination of these units connected in various formations depending upon customer’s requirement / applications and applicable protection schemes. Bare capacitor units are used inside the automatic PF correction panels. Capacitors are type tested as per IEC / ISS (IS-13585/1994) in CRPI /ERDA Laboratory.

HT unit: Capacitor units are manufactured in the range of 50KVAr to 1000KVAr & in the voltage range of 1 KV to 22KV. High voltage capacitor banks (3.3Kv to 132KV 220KV) are formed by series parallel combinations of these units & connected in various formations of star double star and delta, depending upon customer’s requirement applications and applicable protection schemes. We have supplied hundreds of banks of ratings varying between 2-24 MVAr With similar capacitor units. Capacitors are type tested as per IEC ISS (IS-13925) in CRPI (Govt of India), accredited by NABL Laboratory.
