Glass jacket is sealed to the pipe section using silicon O ring and other sealing compositions. Permissible pressure in jacketed DN 80 DN 150 1.0 bar g DN 225 DN 300 0.5 bar g METAL JACKET Pipe section can also be provided with metal jacket. In metal jacket, maximum operating pressure permitted is 2.0 bar g in all the sizes. They are used not only to avoid heat loss for the purpose of saving energy but also where product temperature has to be maintained to prevent crystallising or undesirable reactions.
