Surface International has introduced REFRACTORY GUNITING MACHINE. This machine is widely used for Repairing of Electric Arc Furnace AOD, VOD, in Hot and Cold conditions. The main advantage of this machine is achieved when furnaces are repaired in Hot Condition. The time required for cooling and then again heating of the furnace along with the thermal losses are prevented, thereby lot of savings in terms of Power are derived, also the availability of furnace is substantially increased. These machines are manufactured in two sizes � D-3R and D-6R with output range of 1.0 to 2.0 m3/hr. Bigger models are available in Rotary Gunning Designs where 5 to 6 m3/hr output of spraying refractory material can be achieved. Refractory Gunning Machines are also used for Injection of Coke in molten metal bath for making alloy steel. These machines are also used for foamy slag application in Steel Melting Units. The machine entails features like Remote Control System, Vibrating Silo, Semi-Wet Nozzle, Refractory Gunning Nozzles, and Coke Injection Nozzles. The refractory material is conveyed Dry from the machine to the nozzle point and Hydration as required is done at nozzle point just before spraying. Surfex Refractory Lining Machine Model R-1 operates according to dry mix delivery principle. The dry mix flows from filling hopper into the continuously revolving Rotor chambers through the air chamber and finally into the compressed air stream. The air stream carries the mix to the spray nozzle (Hot gunning lance) through delivery pipe. The water is added just before the junction of hot funning lance and delivery pipe. The rotor chambers are powered by electric motor. The machine is recommended for hot / cold repairing of furnace, ladles, cupola, convertor, coke batteries etc.
