Pipe Primer that we offer is a purple-colored thin liquid, which forms an important piece of the solvent cement process. It conforms to ASTM F656 standards. Pipe Primer helps in preparing the pipe and fitting for solvent cementing by cleaning and softening the pipe. The fitting makes sure that the final joint integrity is maximized. For most cases, a cleaner should be used followed by a primer and then the solvent cement. Also, after the application of the primer, the solvent cement should be applied immediately before the primer dries. Our Pipe Primer is not suitable for ABS pipe.
