3M UHMW-PE Film Tape 5423 is a thick caliper general purpose thermoplastic polyethylene tape that is used to protect surfaces from abrasion. It has a Ultra-High Molecular Weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) backing and has exceptional hardness and low surface energy. The abrasion resistance of UHMW-PE is greater than PTFE and increases as the molecular weight increases. This slick surface tape is mostly used in aerospace, automotive, printing and MRO industries.
