Thermal Overload Relay Unit Type M1-BR is a three pole Bimetallic unit housed in a Bakelite enclosure. It is individually calibrated & tested on automatic machines to ensure foolproof protection to the motor from overload, Single Phasing & resulting burnouts. The relay is ambient temperature compensated for operation between -5degC to 40degC. The reset mechanism can be adjusted to hand or Auto mode; in manual mode, the red button needs to be pressed to reset the relay after an overload has occurred, after allowing sufficient cooling time. In Auto mode, the relay will reset on its own after cooling down. Using 3 rugged N46 contactors, one independent mounted Thermal Overload Relay & a special Star delta Timer type SDT-1, the N46 Star delta comes with incoming and outgoing connectors, housed in a powder coated fabricated enclosure. The SDT-1 timer is an adjustable timer with a time lag between the Break and Make operation which allows the star arc to die down before the delta makes.

The LK1 Star Delta motor starters are available in 2 identical distinct designs, suitable wired & inter-connected with three solenoid operated air break contactors Type LK1 and one triple pole thermal overload relay Type LK1, fopr overload & under voltage protection It is available in Semi Automatic & Fully Automatic version in 16A & 25A contactor ratings.
