Description : The O ring is a closed circle made of Flexible rubber. The dimensions are defined by the interior diameter d1 and Cord diameter d2.How O Rings Work : The O ring sealant effect is due to the elastic deformation of the cross section d2, in an appropriately shaped installation space. The circular cross section is changed to elliptical in this installation space which seals the gap in contact or sealing surface and groove. Sealing effect is due to the deformation of the circular O ring. Its extent is determined by groove depth. The compression forces that arise due to this deformation seal the make the seal in the system.
