    •  Shikakai fruit pods are dried in the sun and powdered into a powder form. Shikakai powder can be combined with water and other herbs such as Amla powder and ritha powder to form a hair-washing paste. Shikakai powder is often used to treat a variety of hair and scalp disorders. Shikakai, which has cleansing and antibacterial characteristics, can be used as-is or in tandem with reetha and amla as a cleanser to help control hair loss and prevent dandruff.
