In general, spent catalyst is packed in 210-liter metal drums or 1 - 2 m3 of metal bins. If the material is classified as spontaneously combustible (UN class 4.2), UN approved drums (UN 3190) and bins are used for packaging.
Regenerated catalysts are normally packed in 210 lit metal drums with polyethylene liner or 1 - 1.5 m3 flexitainer bags (UV resistant, poly propylene woven with poly ethylene liner).
