Mastiff™ Reader has a robust power supply with surge protection and self-resetting fuse which provides excellent power supply isolation and protects from surges when connected to vehicle ignition or to any external devices. It also has self-healing and self-correcting mechanism which will ensure reliable and continuous operation in the long-run with no manual intervention. Mastiff™ Tag is an active RFID tag ideal for monitoring people indoors or outdoors. Schools or organizations can use this tag as a ID card and do real-time tracking and monitoring of students, employees, visitors or contract workers inside schools, hospitals, high security offices or in construction sites or in moving vehicles. The periodic data sent by the tag can be captured by a compatible Mastiff™ active RFID reader. The captured data is sent to software for reporting or analytical reasons.The tag comes along with the user configuration utility which allows configuration of many parameters of the tag wirelessly. The utility is an easy to use software interface, through which the user can read and write the configuration data to the tag. Configuration data includes the tag ID, time interval of transmission, RF data rate, active/sleep mode and the signal strength of the transmission.The tag is completely sealed inside a rugged ABS plastic enclosure and certified with IP67 protection which will protect it from water and dust. It has an optional internal memory up to 128 KB which can store additional information about the students as per the customers’ requirements. The sleek design of the tag is comparable with the traditional ID card of the students making it an ideal replacement of normal ID cards.The tag design has been optimized for very low power consumption to give a higher battery life of 5 years. The tag sends a low battery warning to the software which will enable us to replace the tag before it dies down. Server information, RF parameters and other parameters can be configured to the device through its USB port. It’s fitted in a heavy duty ABS material which protects the device from normal wear and tear and comes with a flame rating of UL94-5VA. Mastiff™ Ethernet Reader comes with a sleek design and carries a host of LEDs indicators for various functionalities such as Ethernet Communication, RF, Relay and Power. These will be useful during troubleshooting and periodic maintenance.
The device firmware can be upgraded through its USB port. The range of the RFID reader is adjustable and it covers up to 100 meters line of sight. Mastiff™ Reader comes with a small form factor, light-weight and carries an excellent appeal.
