An Insulated glass is made by fusing two or more glass panes spaced by dry air or inert gas. The system is perfected by separating the glass panes with an aluminium spaced tube, joined at at one point and bending at 4 corners for comparatively better insulation and filled with a specially designed absorbent. The unit is then sealed around the perimeter with a flexible sealant . The inner seal is applied with butyl (polyisobutylene) sealant and the outer with an elastic based on polysulphide polymer or silicone.

Improved Security - FUSO also provides Burglar Resistant Laminated Safety Glass. Delayed Fire Spread - Standard laminated glass will not disintegrate readily when exposed to heat, so it confines to fire longer than normal glass. However standard laminated glass does not meet code requirement of fire resistant glass.
