Solid Clarifier is used to settle the solid particles from rising up further by parallel plate media provided at the center of the tank with hopper bottom Secondary Treatment The objectives of secondary treatment are to biological treatment system of waste water i.e. To coagulate and remove dissolved organic and inorganic compounds though microorganism. The removal of carbonaceous BOD, the coagulation of non settle able colloidal solids and stabilization of organic matter are accomplished biologically using variety of microorganism, principally aerobic bacteria’s. The microorganisms are used to convert the colloidal and dissolved organic matter into various gases and into cell tissue. Because cell tissue has a specific gravity slightly greater than that of water, the resulting cells can be removed from treated liquid by gravity settling. In treatment, above said process is accomplished by attached growth process in mechanical bio-processor. The aerobic environment is achieved by rotating plastic media by geared motor 2.5 – 3.5 rpm. Programmed death cell chamber contains floating mesh for the attached growth process with hopper bottom. In the Disinfection chamber we add PAC and Chlorine for Precipitation & Disinfection respectively and mixed by a mechanical stirrer. Tertiary Treatment The objectives of tertiary treatment are to further remove suspended and dissolved Compounds remaining after secondary treatment. The water from disinfection chamber is collected in the intermediate tank and is pumped to sand filter and carbon filter respectively. The filtered water will be collected in treated water sump.
