Stark Gears Worm reducers of robust construction, have been introduced to meet the increasing demand for efficient drives. Due to high efficiency and smooth running, the demand for these. Stark Gears Worm reducers is increasing.
The entire design is based mainly on BS: 721 and accuracy to class "A" limits.
The worm integral with its shaft, is carefully generated from a nickel alloy steel, case hardened on the threads, precision ground and polished to very fine tolerances. The bearings, oil seals and other cylindrical portions of the shaft are carefully ground and protected during manufacture, storage and after assembly.
Types of Gear Boxes
The following are a few examples of standard worm reduction units, sizes starting from 1.125" (28.575 mm) to 17" (431.8 mm) Centre Distance and ratios from 5:1 to 70:1 in case of single reduction and from 75:1 to 4900:1 in case of double reduction.

GEAR CASE
Stark Gears Gear Casings, modern in appearance, are made from close-grained Cast Iron conforming to IS:21 0. The heat dissipating capacity of the case is increased by means of high velocity of air, driven over the cooling fins on each side of the case by means of a fan mounted on an extension of the worm shaft.
