palmtec for bus ticketing system -(both offline and online)

palmtec is having an embedded firmware for ticketing in the format required by transport corporations. There are options for thermal & dot matrix printers.the ticket collector can carry palmtec-amphibia in bus and whenever he make a ticket, he can carry out the receipt normally. After a receipt is generated, palmtec-amphibia will directly connect to the server. The receiving cum answering program loaded in the server verifies the authenticity of the device and will receive the bill data and will send the relevant acknowledgement back to palmtec-amphibia, and the same on to the database.
multiple routes are created using the pc utility. The same is downloaded through usb / gprs to palmtec amphibia. The following information can be downloaded to machine such as, bus company name, address for header & footer, stage names, distance in km and rates in table and graph form.currency, logo of company, bus types, driver name, conductor name, cleaner name, password setup, display setup, half ratio, st etc.
once the data is downloaded, amphibia is now ready for ticketing application.the conductor opens the days schedule, enters the amount in hand, opens the days trip, selects the route name & up or down.various options in ticketing are available like full ticket, half ticket, luggage, pass, student concession, phy handicap, group ticketing, expences entry, review and reports.each ticket data can be uploaded by gprs.end of the each trip the same can be closed. A new trip can be opened as required.at the end of the day / duty the trip and the schedule can be closed.amphibia can be then connected to the pc and the data can be uploaded for processing.relevant reports can be generated from the pc. Some required relevant reports can be generated from amphibia also.
