SAFEGUARD” Aqueous film forming foam concentrates are produced in three variants to meet the requirements of various users for different applications and also for using different appliances like from portable fire extinguishers to long range monitors, crash fire tenders and large fuel tank protection etc. Produced from fluorocarbons and hydrocarbon surfactants blended with solvents, foam preservative and foam stabilizers, they form a very strong film over the burning hydrocarbon fuel layers on vertical and horizontal surfaces. Can be applied with both aspirating and non-aspirating discharge devices including foam spray, sprinkler etc. Approvals: UL Listed, ISI Marked, Conforming to EN, DGQA, MMD, DGMS, ICAO, ISO, etc.

Aqueous Film Forming Foam – Synthetic based foam compound mixed with addition of fluorodensides processing the property to create the film of water solutions that floats on top of non-polar flammable liquids as per IS:4989 PART-2 with ISI Mark (Available in: 3% or 6% Foam Compound in 20 ltrs HDPE Can)  

AFFF is Aqueous Film Forming Foam concentrate (AFFF) has characteristic of film forming, due to which flame is rapidly knocked down and sealing of fuel surface is effectively achieved. AFFF is formulated with Fluorinated surfactants, hydrocarbon surfactants and stabilisers to give best performance and long shelf life. Due to presence of Fluorocarbon surfactant the foam has a positive spreading coefficient on the surface of the fuel, giving fast coverage and thereby helping the fire fighters in saving precious time. AFFF can be used with fresh or sea water. AFFF is available as 3% and 6% Foam Concentrate.

Details : AR-AFFF Foam Concentrate is a superior quality and environmentally responsible Alcohol-Resistant Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AR-AFFF) which is used at 1%, 3% or 6% concentration to extinguish fires in hydrocarbon fuels. AR-AFFF foam is used to extinguish hydrocarbon and polar-solvent (water-miscible) fires, fires from a mixture of these fuels, and oxygenated motor fuels. It is suitable for use with foam compatible dry powder extinguishing agents. AR-AFFF concentrates with a special biosynthesized polymer. This polymer is designed to fulfill two functions. The first is to form a protective membrane between the fuel and the foam as it contacts the water miscible fuel, making extinguishment possible.
