It is strong, light weight & highly flexible material available in different thickness, width & density. North Star Style-500 M is mfg. from ceramic fiber yarn which is actually inorganic refractory oxides in fibrous form having composition of Alumina, Silica & some special additives. The basic raw material to mfg. ceramic fiber yarn cloth is extremely high temperature resistance. Metallic reinforcement increase mechanical strength of cloth.

Ceramic Textile Products can be made available with minimum or no organic carrier. The main advantage of this product is exceptionally low smoke-off upon heating compared with standard fiber textiles. Consequently, these products are very much suited to fire protection applications and for hot wrapping of cables, pipes and ducts. These products are available only with SS wire re-inforcement.

Ceramic fiber webbing tapes are manufactured from high performance ceramic fiber yarns reinforced with either a wire or glass filament. These are produced on traditional textile machinery by carding high purity 1260°C grade ceramic fibers with a percentage of cellulose fiber to assist in the processing. The yarns are then spun and combined with the relevant reinforcing media to improve the tensile strength at extended temperatures.

The ceramic fiber yarn is used in producing ceramic fiber tape, rope, cloth,etc. Ceramic Fiber Yarn is twisted from ceramic fiber strands. It features excellent properties such as lightweight, low thermal conductivity and chemical stability resisting attack from most corrosive agents. High temperature resistant up to 1050° C. Also can be extensively made into all kinds of ceramic fiber textiles and is an excellent substitute for asbestos. Twisted ceramic fiber yarn with inconel or stainless steel is also available.
