Jaguar CLG6020/5020 meets the criteria for High Productivity centerless grinding. The machine is suitable for both in-feed and Thru-Feed Grinding of small to medium sized parts. The large wheel size of Ø610mm with improved wheel utilization reduces number of setups and on the CLG6020 model improves the cycle time. The machine can be tooled up for various components with automation. Ideal for grinding components like Engine Valves, torsion bar, UJ Cross, Compressor shaft etc.

Machine Base The machine base is manufactured  of one piece  close grained graded cast iron.  Box type design,  heavily reinforced with ribs, provides high rigidity and stability.   Machine Guideways V & Flat guide ways precisely hand scrapped for Cross (X-Axis) & Table slides (Z-Axis) with turcite coating which gives stick slip free movement Excellent vibrations damping and high positioning accuracy, which insures better lubrications and longer life of guide ways. The X-Axis can be equipped with linear measuring system, depending upon requirements (Optional).   Work Head Dead Centres as standard, live cum dead centres as optional Easy belt tensioning arrangement. Special arrangements provided in front to avoid entry of coolant inside work head.   Wheel Head Cartridge type grinding wheel spindle operating at 45 m/s cutting speed & with precision anti friction bearings. Constant Cutting Speed of grinding wheel though variable speed drive (Optional) Robust wheel head with anti friction bearings is maintenance free has good thermal stability.   Tail Stock Rigid design and facility for adjusting Tail stock quill clearance. Hydraulic actuation (Optional)   Optional Accesories Automatic In-Process Guage IPG automatically and continuously measures the diameter being ground and compares the actual size to pre-set values. Confirming the diameter to the accurate dimension.   Flagging Detects the end face position on work piece,  reduces idle time and ensure safety.   Dynamic Balancing System Dynamically compensates the imbalance of grinding wheel. Balancing system improve the surface finish and geometry of the work piece.   Gap Eliminator / Crash Control This device will automatically detect the setting up or machining condition occurs, the grinding wheel will rapidly retract for safety.   Lineal Scale for X and Z axis Gives actual slide movement feedback to CNC system up to submicron level,

ROTARY SURFACE GRINDER WITH VERTICAL SPINDLE (RR) Description This series is designed for flat grinding of one side of the job at a time for each table load. Rotary work table operates on large, circular ways- well lubricated by means of an oil sump. It carries an electro magnetic chuck with circular poles. Access to work table is unique, in that a greater proportion of the work table is opened for easier and safer work handling. Being a fixed centre table, the initial accuracies are maintained for the entire life of the machine. Wheel Spindle Head is of extremely rigid construction, with precision bearing duly preloaded. Segmented wheel is directly mounted at lower end. Column has oversize vertical vee and flat ways fully protected from grinding dust and coolant by sliding steel guards. Wheel feed can be applied by hand or power. Precision Screw gives positive down feed on the head for accurately controlling small increments of feed. CONTROLS as Optional: Automatic electronic gauging can be provided. It gives continuous measurement of work during grinding cycle and visual indication that work is approaching size. When work reaches a preset dimension grinding stops, the machines sparks out and the Head retracts. Since the job is directly probed, wheel wear is directly compensated.CNC controls for Vertical axis with servo drives via precision ball screw is also available as optional equipment.
