The Type P51SS stainless steel regulator is designed for service with a wide variety of corrosive gases and environments.Special construction features include 316 SS housing and filter assemblies, with fluorocarbon elastomers used for the control diaphragm and the supply valve.This ruggedly built regulator operates in pressure ranges up to 150 PSIG (10.3 BAR). The P51SSFR and P51SSAR Regulators and the P51SSF and P51SSAF filter assemblies have built-in dripwells which trap water, oil and other contaminant’s. The contaminant’s are easily flushed out of the dripwell via a convenient manual or automatic drain valve. The 40-48 Micron Filter is constructed of sintered 316 stainless steel, and is easily removed.The P51SS products can be through-panel mounted with the mounting nut supplied (regulators only), bracket-mounted using the optional bracket (regulators only), or pipe mounted by its ports (regulators and filters).The regulators and filter assemblies comply with NACE Standard MR0175 (Metals for Sulfide Stress Cracking and Stress Corrosion Cracking Resistance in Sour Oilfield Environments.

The first stage is the mixing compounding stage where the elastomer is mixed with various additives such as re-enforcing agents, softeners, pigments, curing agents, antioxidants and processing aids. The mixing occurs in a dispersion kneader which mixes the ingredients under high pressure, controlled high temperature and preset mixing times. All the ingredients are combined to form compound lumps which are dumped out of the dispersion kneader. The lumps are cooled and aged for a few days in order to improve final properties of the component. These compound lumps are then mixed on a two-roll mixing mill. Curing agents such as sulphur or peroxides are added on the two roll mill and compound is milled till it is homogeneous. The compound is then taken out as sheets in the required thickness. The thickness of the compound sheet can be adjusted in the two-roll mixing mill. This compound sheet is now sent for moulding extrusion.

Drill Pipe Spiral Fluted Protectors are manufactured by using high quality elastomer, bonded with specially designed spring steel cage. Spring steel cage provides gripping power to the protectors while retaining its shape also. Different grades of elastomer are being used to make protectors resistance to high bottom hole temperatures, chemicals attacks from oil based drilling fluids and minimum oil absorption characteristics. They are designed for full surface contact on the drill pipes not allowing any oil fluid to enter behind the protector, causing it is not to slide and come lose on the pipe even in deviated holes.
