The machine forms the hooks and closes the seam in one operation. No special skill is required in operating the machine. Tools are supplied for closing the seams on the inside. The operator registers the two straight edges in the gauges provided, presses the foot treadle and the edges are folded, hooked together and clenched tight. Thus the side is formed.
