The Clippard NPV Series Pinch Valve is a solenoid-operated device that is designed to open and close tubes for controlling flow of liquids and gases. Other valve types have internal passages that may cause small amounts of fluid to remain in the valve. Pinch valves have no areas or dead volume where fluid can become trapped. Only the inside of the tubing contacts the fluid. Energizing the solenoid retracts or attracts the plunger, which opens or closes the tube. De-energizing the solenoid will allow the plunger to return to its original state. Each valve comes with 12" of silicone tubing.

The sen/ice material / fluid passing through does not come in contact with either body covering or any other metal parts of the valve except the rubber sleeve / muff and hence the body and other metal parts are almost permanently not subjected to the corrosive action of the fluid. The flow through the valve is straight and full as that of a pipeline, when the valve is fully open. Further, the collar of the sleeve eliminates use of any gasket. The valve having simple rising spindle type operation makes the valve just simple as other wheel operated valve.
