Lead to be manufactured from Rotary Furnace can be obtained directly from scrapped batteries or as slag from Mini Blast Furnaces In case of former batteries are cut open or broken to segregate lead scrap, plastic and other materials from them;lead scrap in the form of lead powder/ plates etc. is charged in the furnace along with a proportionate charge of additives. InThe case of latter, slag produced from Mini Blast Furnaces is charged into the Rotary Furnace, again with proportionate additives.This process is a batch type process. After filling the required quantity of raw material (either manually or mechanically), thelid of the furnace at the front is closed. The burner attached to the moving door is then fired. The Rotary Melting Furnace is very flexible and universal equipment used for recycling many non-ferrous metals. Rotary furnace: the rotary body is made of steel material; the liner is refractory material; the body is supported by couples of supporting roller and the gradient is 3%-6%. The motor drives the gear and the furnace rotates along. Materials are fed into the furnace from the higher tail end and discharged from the lower head end. At the head end, fuel (coal powder, heavy oil and gas fuel) is injected into the furnace and burns inside; and the smoke is discharged from the tail end. The rotary furnace is mainly used in cement industry to calcine cement clinker. Also it is applied to calcine pellets and powder or dry raw materials in refractory and ceramic industry. In chemical industry, it is widely used for drying, dewatering and calcining raw materials.

Rotary furnace is gas fired, diesel fired of furnace oil fired. The rotary furnace is rotated or tilted. One end burner will be fitted and other end will be having movable exhaust duct to load material. The furnace comprises a refractory lined cylindrical vessel formed by rolled steel structure with front mounted burner and rear flue discharge, Rotating wheels, Mounting frame and control panel.Charging is done through an opening in the front of the furnace. The liquid metal discharge can be taken through a pour spout mounted in the mid section of the main refractory lined cylindrical shell.
