A distribution board (also known as panelboard or breaker panel) is a component of an electricity supply system which divides an electrical power feed into subsidiary circuits, while providing a protective fuse or circuit breaker for each circuit. The ACDB receives the AC power from the solar inverter and directs it to AC loads through the distribution board. AC Distribution Panel Board (DPB) shall control the AC power from PCU, and should have necessary surge arrestors. Requirementspecifications of DCDB and ACDB may be changed as per site conditions. An ACDB to be provided at the cable terminating point emanating from 5 KVA PCU for interconnection control of dedicated electrical loads.

The main purpose of the ACDB is to eliminate the operation of the load at the immediate PCU O/P end and also provide flexible operation of different loads like Street lights, general home or office lights and optional loads that optionally operated (On/Off). The DC Distribution Box is used to provide flexibility for the operator of the solar power plant to disconnect and connect both the inward solar supply and battery terminals. Solar DCDB - is used to protect the system if there is any fault during failure on DC side. A very crucial part of SPV system as there should be adequate protection on DC side. The DCDB incorporates isolatorBreaker to switch off the system during fault, there is a meter which tells you exact PV array voltage and current you are getting. It also have surge protection to save your system from any surges occurred due to fault or other phenomenon. These panel are customized as per the design of the solar plant.�It is Used where the DC current rating is very high and incoming and outgoing of the DC current is need to be fused.
