Powerica manufactures all control panels supplied with the DG Sets at our in-house facilities. We design and manufacture power control systems, which include synchronisation of DG sets in auto-mode with load dependent start/ stop capability, equal load sharing and load discrimination. These include all components for monitoring , special relays for protection along with instrumentation and controls for the complete power plant. The monitoring of these complete systems can be made available to the customer through SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition System) and BMS (Building Management system) integration. Powerica’s control and switchgear panel design team executes multiple projects of this nature on a regular basis. Our panel manufacturing divisions at our factory in Bangalore and Silvassa are fully geared up for manufacturing them, meeting all ISO, CPRI, IRDA standards. These specialized applications are mainly used in IT parks, data centres, the hospitality sector and especially hospitals. Powerica has successfully commissioned a system, involving 16 X 2750 kVA capacity at one location to meet the total power requirements of 48 MVA in standby mode.

Diesel Generating Sets
Powerica is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in India for Cummins India Limited, the global leaders in the design, manufacture, distribution and servicing of diesel engines. We engage in manufacturing of diesel generating sets, components and erection, supply-installation-testing & commissioning (SITC), operation maintenance, and other services relating to diesel generating sets. These services are provided for diesel generating sets with capacities from 7.5kVA to 2750kVA prime. In addition, we design and manufacture HHP (750kVA to 2000kVA) sound attenuated containerized DG sets that are portable and simple to install & ready to use (RTU) plug-and-play. We cater to customers from Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and the union territories of Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Acoustic Enclosure
Powerica installed the country's first fully-automated ‘Prima Power’ PSBB (punching, shearing, buffering and bending) line in Khapoli, Maharashtra. This facility is set up for mass production of the components for the acoustic enclosures. All stages, from picking up the sheet metal from the stacker to the finished component, is completed in one continuous process. Powerica has successfully met all the world standards in DG guidelines. In 2005, the MOEF (keeping in line with world standards), issued notification for all diesel generating set manufacturers between the range of 7.5 kVa upto 1000 kVa to restrict sound level to 75dBa at 1 mtr. This amendment stated that since 1st January 2005, all generators were to be supplied with acoustic enclosures to restrict the noise level. Attenuation of Diesel Generator Room An amendment to the MOEF rules has permitted acoustic treatment of the DG set rooms where individual acoustic enclosures are not possible. Powerica has individual departments for design, manufacture and installations of large projects that require multiple DG set installations. Customised attenuators for the intake air and hot air discharge are designed for each site to ensure compliance with the requirement of the insertion loss of 25dBA for the entire DG Set room.

Adequate provisions are made for ventilations , cooling of engines, fuel supply systems and exhaust systems as per dg set manufacturer’s recommendations and cpcb requirements. We also co-ordinate the total scheme and controls on power evacuation based on the required application. The complete balance of plant requirements, specifications, etc. Are designed, procured and installed to make an ideal in-house power plant.
