Healthy agarwood is relatively light and
pale coloured. When the wood is infected
by a disease in the wild, the infection
process produces a dark aromatic resin in
response to the attack. This results in a very
dense, dark, resin embedded hardwood.

an exceptionally high value because of its
distinctive fragrance and medicinal benefits.
