We are offering Light Gauge Bare Foil for Confectionery & Pouch Packaging. The mills have been upgraded with new Siemens drives, automatic gauge control & upgraded hydraulics. The mills are well supported by ancillary equipment such as Rewinder, Doubler, Separators (Kampf & Schmutz) , Annealing furnaces, Roll Grinder (Herkules) and a fully equipped quality assurance laboratory .

The De-greasing Section helps the removal of oil and dirt by a cascaded process of hot alkaline de-greasing, cold rising, hot rising and hot air drying. Then annealing is done in an electrically heated horizontal furnace operated under a protective atmosphere with a calibrated ratio of nitrogen and hydrogen generated in a state–of–the–art automated Protective Gas Plant using ammonia and air as primary raw materials.

Jindal (India) Limited produces hot dipped galvanized coils in accordance with international standards, JIS G3302 (Grade SGCH, SGCC), ASTM A653 and IS 277. Its coils have excellent corrosion resistance, printability and workability. Then annealing is done in an electrically heated horizontal furnace operated under a protective atmosphere with a calibrated ratio of nitrogen and hydrogen generated in a state–of–the–art automated Protective Gas Plant using ammonia and air as primary raw materials. Hot dip galvanizing of the strip is carried out by immersing it in a zinc bath maintained at 460 degree centigrade. The chemistry of the bath is carefully controlled to ensure proper adhesion and formability of the applied zinc together with bright blemish free uniform spangles. The galvanized coils are chromated to improve its resistance to white rust. The chromating parameters are continually monitored and sheets are regularly tested through salt-spray tests to ensure the performance of this process. We can also provide galvanized plain and corrugated sheets with required length. Galvanized corrugated sheet can be produced with closed tolerance of standard depth, pitch and width.

These mills are equipped with latest technologies of configurations comprising of Mill Management System, ABB make Advent technology system, Automatic Gauge Control System and ABB make Digital DC Drives which assures the quality and prescribed limit of thickness of the materials. This automation process enables the reduction of thickness of material up to 90 %, i.e. as thin as 0.10 mm as per customer's demand and International requirements. The plant is also equipped with Bell Furnaces and Skin Pass facility to cater the market for Domestic appliances.

Cold Rolled steel is produced by 6-Hi Reversing Cold Rolling Mills. The Robertson Cold Rolling Mill is a 4 Hi Universal Cold Rolling Mill of 1540 mm width with an input gauge of 7 mm, an output of .165 mm and a maximum speed of 280 mmin. The mill has been upgraded for speed, Auto Shape Control Auto Gauge Control & higher coil density (from 3.2 kgmm max). At time of installation in Jindal India Limited, the mill has been supplied with new electrics & drives by Siemens.
