This is discussed further in our installation section. what sort of base is acceptable?there are many types of base which you can use. An acceptable hard base would be tarmac, asphalt or concrete and it's generally better if it is porous eg. Tarmac. If you wish to install on top of concrete then you need to be careful that the edges of any slabs do not show through. You could cover the concrete with a layer of sand, or even better install a rubber shock pad between the concrete and the artificial grass. This type of cover, sand or shock pad, is also needed when you overlay where 2 different materials are joined eg. Soil to concrete. One final point is that if the surface is impermeable eg. Concrete, then a slight slope to aid run off is advised. Alternatively sub surface drainage can be installed. how long will our artificial grass last?it really does depend upon what use you will make of your lawn.what products are safe to use on artificial grass?generally speaking, you should not use any product that is acidic in nature ie. Ph less than 3 containing halogens (chlorine, bromine etc). Sulphur and nitrogen are also likely to react. Likewise if a product is oxidising, like bleach or peroxide then this can liberate free ions of the above elements which can then form acidic species in the presence of water.
