VERTICAL DAM GATE
Vertical gates move within a vertical groove inside between two piers. These are used to control the flow over the crest of a hydraulic structure and are usually equipped with wheels. This type of gate is commonly used for barrages and dams.

Stop Log Gate

Radial Gate
These are hinged gates, with the leaf (or skin) in the form ofa circular arc with the centre of curvature at the hinge or trunnion. In hoisting mechanism, a cable is used that is winched up by a motor placed on a bridge situated above the piers.
