Fire Clay is a binder / cementing material used for lining of Fire Bricks. It is available in fine mesh size. It is to be used by soaking in water over night for getting better binding properties. Proper selection of mines is important in order that the binding is good and the lining strength is better. In some applications, some amount of sodium silicate is added to get better binding peoperties.
